- The ACTION Parent Reading Group Blog is ready to get underway. The plan is to read the two articles listed on the blog and respond to them by the end of November.

- I will be leaving the October blog up and running throughout the year. If there is only one of the blogs that you visit, I think that one would be the one to start with.
- Seventh Grade Parents--If you are interested in having your child take the ACT through the Duke Tip Program, the deadline to register online is quickly approaching. Students can take the test at Cottey College and it would be after the first of the year.
- The eighth grade ACTION students have completed their Lexus Challenge project. We held an ewaste recycling day on October 17 and were able to recycle over 31 CRT televisions and monitors, 21 printers and faxes, and over 50 other miscellaneous items such a CPU towers, cell phones, and game pieces. Great job!
- 8th Grade Independent Studies will be due on December 14.
